Hana arrived at our shelter from the road, with a story that breaks even the hardest of hearts. Her former owner tied her leg with a string so tightly that the string grew into the tissue and caused a severe infection... Because of this, Hana could not move her leg at all. We successfully cured the infection and Hana uses that leg today, but the pain she suffered left a deep mark on her psyche. Hana has her own form of PTSD. When she's stressed, she gets "episodes" where she barks uncontrollably at her leg and tail — it's her unconscious tic, a reminder of the terrible pain she's endured. Staying in a shelter, among many dogs and in constant noise, is extremely stressful for her and has a bad effect on her condition. However, in a calm environment, when he feels safe and loved, these episodes occur extremely rarely, and during walks they do not occur at all! Why Hana is a special girl: ✨ Beautiful nature - despite everything she's been through, she's extremely good to adults and wonderful with children. 🦮 She enjoys walks - she is very good on a leash and is completely calm, relaxed and without episodes during walks. 🐕 Sociable with dogs - gets along great with other dogs. 🐱 Cat test - we don't know how it reacts to cats, but we will gladly do a test if the adopters have a cat. Hana isn't asking for much—just a patient family, a quiet corner, and a sense of security to help her scars finally heal completely.
