He wandered the street for days with old bullets in his body... Despite everything he survived, Vlatko remained a mild pet and is now looking for special people! 🐾💦💔➡️❤️ Vlatko arrived at our shelter a few months ago, after wandering the street for days in a truly difficult and exhausted state. When we took him to safety and made detailed examinations, we learned the harrowing truth about his past — Vlatko had been the victim of a shooting in the past. Despite the terrible scars he bears, Vlatko is a dog of a beautiful, mild nature: ✨ Calm and good-natured – he is an extremely affectionate, obedient and calm dog that spreads peace around him. ✨ Big cuddle – adores people and seeks closeness and warmth at all times. Water 💦 lover – water is his greatest passion! Bathing, churning and playing with water bring the biggest smile to his face. He is 🐕 good with other dogs – he is sociable and gets along well with the muzzles in the shelter. Cat 🐱 test – we do not know how it reacts to cats, but we will gladly do a test if the foster parents have a cat. 🩺 Health condition (Heartworm and neurological injury): Heartworm: Vlatko tested positive for heartworm and has been on slow kill therapy for two months (he receives Advocate once a month). Old gunshot wound: X-rays showed she still had bullets in her body. They do not cause pain or movement disturbance, but one of the bullets damaged the nerve responsible for controlling the stool. Vlatko has a feeling and the need for emptying (he squats as if he is going to defecate), but the chair itself does not immediately come out but 1 to 2 minutes later, without his direct control. Vlatko is looking for foster parents who will understand his health needs and provide him with conditions (such as a home with a yard) in which he will be able to enjoy life without pressure.
